Certificate 3 in Animal Care Services – Pet Grooming PLUS Foundation, Intermediate and Advanced Training

40 Day Course – $14,950.00 + gst (Includes additional 2 weeks optional work experience) Can be completed full time or part time

Certificate 3 Animal Care Services – Pet Grooming (ACM30122) and Companion Animal Studies (ACM30417)  Plus Foundation, Intermediate and Advanced Training is suited to those wanting to learn everything in the one course and wishing to fast track their entry into the industry as a Groomer or open their own business.  Students will experience real day to day pet grooming situations, clientele, time frames and an array of breeds and grooming techniques.  Students will graduate with a Dual Certificate 3 in Pet Grooming Plus an AAPPG issued Certificate in Foundation, Intermediate and Advanced Training.  This course allows  for students to gain more experience to reinforce their techniques with more repetition and to focus on particular breeds and breed standards.

*Option free/voluntary work placement where students can come in to one of our working salons and practice their skills in a supportive and positive environment giving students an opportunity to work independently as a Groomer with their own clients.

Certificate 3 Animal Care Services – Pet Grooming is a Nationally recognised Certificate in Pet Grooming.   AAPPG offers practical training and grooming observations, at the salon students will experience real day to day grooming situations, clientele, time frames and an array of breeds and grooming techniques that will enable students to complete the practical requirements of the course.  The course runs for 20 days.

Asssessments are conducted at the salon and final assessments are marked on behalf of Heiniger Academy – a Registered Training Organisation (National Provider No 40888)

Pet Grooming Course – Fast Tracked – (max of 2 students per class)

5 Day Course – $3,500 + gst.

This course is suitable for those students wanting to fast track their learning with  intense one on one tuition.  Students will learn the foundations of grooming.  Upon completion of this course, students will learn how to choose the correct length to clip the coat using the right techniques and equipment and complete a groom from start to finish on any pet trim.  Upon completing this course, students will be job ready to enter the workforce within the industry of Pet Grooming.

Optional purchase of the Grooming Starter Kit $1,550 + gst which includes everything you will need to get started.

Pet Stylist Intermediate OR Advanced Course (Most Popular)

20 Day Intermediate Training Course –  $6,750 + gst 

                       OR

40 Day Advanced Training Course – $13,500 + gst 

PRACTICAL TRAINING – These courses are practical hands on courses from day 1.  The training caters for students wanting to get started in the Pet Grooming Industry with a focus on practical training within a working salon, students will experience real day to day pet grooming situations, clientele, time frames and an array of breeds and grooming techniques.  These courses are tailored to the individual students learning requirements and abilities and can be adapted to students without any experience in the industry to those who are already working in the industry and wanting to upskill .  No experience is required to complete any of these courses.

The 4 week Intermediate Training Course covers Foundations of Grooming plus Intermediate Training in grooming.   The course is a practical based course and covers all aspects of grooming small breed dogs.  Students will leave this course with the knowledge to build on their skills and become successful Pet Groomers.

The 8 week Advanced Training Courses covers Foundations of Grooming, Intermediate Grooming plus Advanced Training in breed styles and scissoring.  This course is for those wishing to consolidate everything they have learnt in the Intermediate course and move on to work on more advanced scissoring skills.  This is a fast track course on breed styles.  Students who complete this course will be issued with an AAPPG Certificate in Advanced Training.

Grooming Assistant Foundation Training

10 Day course – $3,500 + gst

This course covers the foundations of pet grooming for employment as a Grooming Assistant or Animal Attendant. Offers pathways to  complete the Intermediate or Advanced Training.

Cat Grooming Workshop

2 day workshop – $2,500+ gst

This course is to cater for students wanting to learn the basics of cat grooming including lessons on washing, drying and style clips.

Professional Pet Grooming & Salon Management Course

6 months $25,000 + gst – 12 months $35,000 + gst

This course is tailored to students who wishes to become a Professional Groomer, Salon Manager or open their own business.  The course will cover Dual Certificate 3 in Pet Grooming,  Foundations of Grooming, Intermediate Level, Advanced Level, Cat Grooming through to Professional Groomer and Salon Management.  Students will gain extensive training on all dog and cat breeds where confidence is achieved with repetition and the opportunity to grow and learn under the guidance and support of a Trainer.  Students will learn all aspects of Managing a Dog Grooming Salon, customer consultations, how to schedule appointments, pricing structure and all aspects of managing a Salon.  For those wanting to open their own business.  Students will be assisted with all aspects of opening and running a their business, including but not limited to pricing structure for their area, list of services they can offer, purchase of equipment, online booking system, suppliers and social media assistance.  Students will also have access to other students looking for work after completing their course.
